. . . but sanctify Christ as LORD in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. - 1 Peter 3:15

Local Evangelism:

Evangelism begins at home.  The largest group of unbelievers in any church is the members’ children.  The parents’ first task is to educate their children in the Gospel (Deuteronomy 6:7) and raise each child in the ‘discipline and instruction of the LORD” (Ephesians 6:4).

Evangelism then spreads from the local to the global.  In Acts 1:8 the risen Christ prescribed that the Gospel spread from the local (“Jerusalem,” “Judea”) to the further (“Samaria”) to the farthest reaches (“remotest part of the earth”).  Evangelism for Grace Church of Sacramento begins in Sacramento.

Every believer must evangelize, and be ready to evangelize (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15).  For those who desire training, practice and involvement in evangelism outside of their personal sphere, Grace Church of Sacramento evangelizes college campuses. Campus Evangelism presents the Gospel to unbelievers, teaches believers and presents Grace Church of Sacramento as a local church where believers can grow in Christlikeness.
